"The Woods" Fine Jewelry and I began a collaboration in 2010. I had always been so captivated by the collection, so when I was approached by Shawn Hecox to make small versions my paintings for The Woods, I was delighted. To compliment their gracefully elegant designs, I have created miniature paintings in the form of diamond-encrusted pendants. Each pendant contains an object from the woods behind my home in Eastern Tennessee, such as dragonfly wings, bird skulls, lichen on twigs, ladybugs, or black widow spiders. My love for Victorian patterns and lace is added to the pieces, and if you look closely, you will see the same intricate patterns and drawings that I create for my larger works.
